Ellie Goulding is came to my attention a few years ago now, but she is one of those artists who delights me anew every time I return to her music. Her voice is pure and beautiful, and if you watch any of her videos, she’s sassy.
I discovered this genius playlist not long after I first subscribed to Apple Music. It is comprised of thirteen songs originally released by male vocalists, but covered by female vocalists. Although I am not familiar with all of the originals, I have to say for those I know, the girls have it won.
I suspect just about everyone has heard some version of The Four Seasons, whether they know it or not. I took Mark Greentree at his word that this version was worth listening to. He was not wrong.
I’ve just heard the news that Miriam Clancy has another album coming out a little later this year. What better time to remind myself of the sheer joy to be had from her second album — released nine and a half years ago (wow!).
